Voting Competition

1. Organiser

The SATLA 2026 Voting Competition (“the Competition”) is organised by SATLA NPC, Registration No. 2026/605753/07 (“the Organiser”).

2. Competition Period

The Competition opens on 16 October 2026 and closes on 18 November 2026 at 23:59 (SAST). Votes received after the closing date and time will not be counted.

3. Eligibility

Participation is open to individuals aged 18 years and older who reside in the Republic of South Africa, unless otherwise stated by the Organiser. Employees of the Organiser, its affiliates and participating service providers, and their immediate family members, may be excluded from participation.

4. How to Vote

To vote for a favourite nominee, participants must send an SMS containing SATLA and the Nominee Number to 32666 during the Competition Period.

Each SMS costs R1, excluding any additional charges that may apply. Standard SMS rates, network availability and mobile service provider terms may apply. Free SMSs do not apply. Participants are responsible for ensuring that their SMS contains the correct voting code.

5. Voting Rules

• Each valid SMS received during the Competition Period will count as a vote, subject to the applicable voting rules.
• Multiple votes are permitted unless otherwise specified by the Organiser.
• Invalid, incomplete, duplicate or fraudulent entries may be disqualified.
• The Organiser reserves the right to verify votes and exclude entries obtained through manipulation, automated systems or other unfair means.

6. Winner Determination

The outcome of the voting process will be determined by the valid votes recorded by the designated voting system. The Organiser’s verified voting records will be used to resolve discrepancies, subject to applicable law. Any tie or dispute will be handled in accordance with the Organiser’s published competition rules.

7. Prizes

Any prize associated with the Competition, including its description, value, eligibility requirements and fulfilment arrangements, will be communicated separately by the Organiser, where applicable. Prizes are subject to any additional published prize conditions.

8. Privacy and Personal Information

Personal information collected in connection with the Competition will be processed in accordance with applicable South African data protection laws, including POPIA, where applicable. Information will be used for administering the Competition, validating votes and fulfilling any applicable prize obligations.

9. General Conditions

The Organiser reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Competition where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law. The Organiser will not be responsible for SMS delivery failures, network interruptions or technical issues beyond its reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.

10. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a vote, participants acknowledge that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
